The New Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn are stirring the immortal essence of humanity from its slumber, as they lie in Virgo the Virgin’s heavenly Holy Grail. ~ Planetary Treat During Scorpio Reflections ~ First Quarter Moon The First Quarter Moon, exact Sunday, October 25, at 5:42pm PDT (00:42 UT) squares the Sun at a 90-degree angle and brings up a tension between desires and emotions, as we struggle for fulfillment. Ideally any obstacles impeding the awareness conceived at the New Moon are overcome at this time. Luna activates the Jupiter-Neptune pairing in the dim "smiling" constellation of Capricornus. She enlivens the diagonal line-up (southeast - northwest) of Fomalhaut in Pisces Austrinus, Jupiter in Capricornus, Altair in Aquila and Vega in Lyre. See this Sky Chart for orientation. The emanations of Capricornus support a new cycle of effort, one with immense spiritual possibilities, one that gives full expression to the earthly nature. Jupiter in the constellation Capricornus assists one in transcending their crystalized lower nature by replacing desire with love, hence bringing a triumphant soul into manifestation. Telescopic Neptune in this constellation aids our rebirth by helping us rebuild or create structures that manifest our dreams, our spirit on Earth. These planets working through Capricornus can open the doorway to the head center and bestow humanity with divine purpose and vision. Jupiter's prograde and retrograde motion in 2009, bring it in exact conjunction with Neptune three-times! The first two closest approaches occurred 5/27 and 7/10. The third occurs on the December solstice 12/21. This triple event is rare. The pairing of Jupiter and Neptune arouses our ideals and awakens a greater sense of compassion. The heavens through repetition are sounding the Word, guiding, seeding and evolving humankind through its heart and soul during this time of global transition. Jupiter forms a striking diagonal line-up with Fomalhaut to the southeast, Altair and Vega to the northwest. These three celestial bodies are prominent in an otherwise dim part of the sky. Fomalhaut lies at the mouth of the great Southern Fish, Pisces Austrinus, which drinks from the jug of Aquarius. It is associated with the transition of the ages from Pisces to Aquarius.
Altair the southern point of the Summer Triangle is also the head or eye of Aquila the Eagle. Altair reminds us that vision and freedom come when the intellect can make the leap to intuition and we awaken to the promptings of our essential divinity. In flight Aquila is known to carry mighty thunderbolts in his talons. These can shake one to their core, if one fails to hear or resists the divine promptings. Vega, the brightest and western point of the Summer Triangle is the swooping eagle that flies down to Earth, a link between Heaven and Earth. Vega is also associated with the lyre or harp that has the power to tame all creatures. It will be our North Star in about 12,000 years. Reflections ~ Waxing Gibbous Moon The waxing Gibbous Moon is more than half lit, moving toward its full sunlit phase. Illumination and growth are offered by this lunar phase, only if the obstacles from the past are cleared away. This must happen, if the energy released with the coming Full Moon is to be utilized. October 28, Wednesday, Luna enters the depths of Aquarius the Water Bearer whose water jug provides nourishment for the Southern Fish and Royal Star, Fomalhaut.
Ponder these Aquarian keywords of the soul: "Water of life am I, poured forth for a thirsty world." October 29-31, Thursday-Saturday, Luna swims with the two fishes of Pisces and the whale Cetus, also known as the Sea Monster! Unpredictable Uranus is lurking in these waters.
