Reflections
~ New Moon, With every New Moon our soul goes into meditation; a potential is enlivened and a seed of consciousness is formed deep within. Take some time to create a sacred space. A new cycle is beginning. The New Moon and Sun embrace in the constellation Gemini with Venus nearby to the east.
The influence of Venus, the esoteric ruler of Gemini, strengthens while positioned in this constellation. The emanations of this planet harmonize dualities into a blended unity and synthesis. Venus the goddess of love helps one understand the causes and conditions of harmony and conflict, thereby turning knowledge and information into wisdom. This links the lower mind to the higher mind and fosters universal mind known as Buddhi, true love.
Venus joins Wasat, Delta Gemini, during the time of the New Moon.
Venus together with Wasat, at the time of the New Moon, during the sign of Cancer, can help instill within humanity a wise love capable of creating sacred forms that bring forth the best in all. Cancer's Keynote The Sun and New Moon are in conjunction with Mebsuta, the knee star of Castor. Mebsuta means treading under feet. This relates to triumphant Castor the mortal one, who has overcome death and transformed evil into good because of the sacred covenant he has with his divine twin. We too can establish a sacred bond with our divine twin and in daily co-creation share in the glory of Heaven on Earth. The New Moon is awakening humanity's identification with essential divinity. As we identify with our all-inclusive divine spirit, we are ready to unify the dualities. The one pointed focus of Sagittarius then comes into play and the fourth human kingdom begins evolving into the fifth spiritual kingdom. (Sagittarius is located opposite Gemini in the zodiacal wheel.)
In Summary It is written in the heavens. The time has come to harmonize dualities by looking for and understanding the causes of harmony and conflict also by recognizing we all are of divine lineage, evolving toward our greater destiny. Each of us has an inner divine twin with whom we can make a covenant and work together to create sacred forms that bring out the best in all. This co-creation establishes Heaven on Earth. All things are possible to Deity through humanity. The inevitable response of humanity to the New Moon energies ... ~ Waxing Crescent Moon, Overcoming obstacles to the new incoming awareness begins with the waxing Crescent Moon. What was conceived at the New Moon: Co-creating with the Divine One ~ Harmonizing Dualities, is now in the process of waxing or gestating. Review above July 5-7, Saturday-Monday, the Crescent Moon is activating the line-up of Regulus, Mars and Saturn in the constellation of Leo the Lion, while Mars is moving closer to Saturn with its closest approach July 10.
These celestial bodies are preparing us to co-create with the will and purpose of Deity. They are precipitating the Law of Soul within humanity. Denebola, the Lion's tail star also known as the Changer, may bring about swift judgment as it joins with Luna. This star demands evolution and alignment with the higher Law of the Soul. Be aware as the Lion's tail "wags" in the moonlight! To learn more about the pairing of Mars and Saturn, the changing relationship between the two planets and Regulus, the Lion's heart star, and to find more star maps and additional reflections click the following link. July 8-10, Tuesday-Thursday, the growing Moon enters the constellation Virgo the Virgin on Tuesday. The following two nights it approaches then passes her brightest star Spica. Use this map for orientation. During these three days both the Moon and Spica set within an hour past midnight.
The First Quarter Moon squares the Sun bringing up a tension, as it signals the balance between light and dark moving toward the light. Obstacles to the new incoming awareness show themselves now. Move toward the light. The First Quarter Moon is exact Wednesday, July 9, at 9:35pm PDT; 04:35 UT 7/10. It lies in the Virgin's Heavenly Holy Grail just west of Spica her stellar sacred womb. Look Up! Divine Will emanating from the 7 rishis of the Big Dipper is gathered by Avatar-like Arcturus into a seed that is accepted and nourished by the Virgin's stellar womb, Spica. (Arc from the handle of the Big Dipper to Arcturus then spike down to Spica.) Map
This 3-day lunar transit offers a conscious opportunity to actively release energies that no longer serve the new incoming awareness. As this is done, the seed of divinity grows within. The journey toward the light inevitably brings up tension as new life struggles to be born. The essential divinity of humanity is once again being stirred from its slumber. A new balance of spirit and matter is being conceived within humanity. Imagine the Light Grid around planet Earth glowing and growing forming a sacred chalice, ready to receive and co-create with the divine emanations of this lunar cycle.

Sky Chart Notes The sky is probably too bright at 9:00pm to see all these stars and planets with the unaided eye. I chose this time to alert observers to Venus, which is just emerging from the solar glare and to provide a view of how the Big Dipper directs us on a stellar search. Planet in our Solar System The sweeping J-shaped Scorpion is a striking summer constellation. Look for it's red giant heart star and a stinger that looks like Bunny's Footprints! Can you see the teapot-shaped asterism in Sagittarius? Midnight's Milky Way extends from the southern horizon, overhead and to the northern horizon. Look Up! The dated spheres represent the Moon's approximate position on a given evening. The Moon remains in the same relative position to a star or constellation for that entire night. As the given evening progresses, the Moon and its heavenly dance partners slowly move in unison toward the western horizon, where they eventually set and disappear from sight. The Moon anywhere in the vicinity of Jupiter is a dazzling delight. Enjoy the duo's dance along the southern horizon from July 13-17, sunset to sunrise. Look north of Jupiter for a large stellar right triangle. It's the Summer Triangle.
Reflections ~ Waxing Gibbous Moon The waxing Gibbous Moon is more than half lit, moving toward its full sunlit phase. Illumination and growth are offered by this lunar phase, only if the obstacles from the past are cleared away. This must happen, if the energy released with the coming Full Moon is to be utilized. July 13-14, Sunday-Monday, Gibbous Luna transits Scorpius, the cosmic Scorpion. Luna first approaches the Scorpion's heart star, Antares. The following night it lies east of this star as it approaches the stinger. Scorpius influences a turning point in the life of humanity and in the life of the individual human being. It reorients the personality to the life of the Soul and later to initiation and sensitivity to the Divine Plan. Scorpius is the burning ground and is synonymous with transformation. In the realm of the Scorpion the dualities of death and life serve each other in evolution's ongoing spiral dance. The Scorpion harmonizes humanity with the inner Divine One. Antares demands we take a stand for our truth. The emanations of this star keep our visions current and ensure growth, evolution and change, especially for humanity's governing systems. The stinger of Scorpius keeps us on the divine path. See the Date Table for additional events. July 15-17, Tuesday-Thursday, growing Luna transits Sagittarius, Pluto, and Jupiter. The Summer Triangle travels north of our giant planet from sunset to sunrise. The Sagittarius rides toward the light, bound for the Heart of our Galaxy (Galactic Center). This cosmic Archer along with Jupiter and Pluto are impressing humanity to aim for the spiritual vision that expands our hearts and minds, which includes the “Whole” Truth that unites us all. This vision is essential to co-creating with the Divine One. Sagittarius Keynote
Pluto the agent of death packs a powerful punch in Sagittarius, where it brings unrelenting transformation to humanity's most basic belief structures. During this time of transition and rebirth all that is in the way of divine manifestation will show itself. Remain calm, ask for inner guidance, stay focused in essential divinity, invoke the New Law of Ancient Dominating Good and embrace the needed changes. Our heart beats A transformational gateway appears, when one ponders upon the heavenly trinity of stars forming the Summer Triangle. The qualities of this gateway, when personally activated lead one on the path of the gods to divine unity. Jupiter ~ Planetary Treat During Cancer
The Full Moon Any Full Moon experience can offer us greater illumination of our essential divinity. Issues worked on since the New Moon come to a climax. If the restrictions of the past have been released during the waxing Moon, then the Full Moon can bring fulfillment. If not, the Full Moon might bring serious mental conflicts, possibly affecting the physical body. The Full Moon is exact Friday, July 18 at 12:59am PDT; 07:59 UT. Full

Full Moon's Position The Full Moon conjoins Altair, the head and brightest star of Aquila the Eagle. This star is also the southern point of the Summer Triangle. During this time Jupiter lies to the west of the Moon. Use this 7/17 9pm Map for orientation; notice a second triangle formed by Jupiter, Altair and the almost exact Full Moon (7/17 sphere). Observe this Full Moon triangle Thursday evening to Friday morning July 17/18. The triangle widens as the hours pass because of the eastern movement of the Moon. View it at its widest Friday evening July 18, when the Moon lies in eastern Capricornus. 7/18 11pm Map Aquila the Eagle, the royal eagle of Jupiter and the great bird of Zeus, is a messenger from heaven, who leads us to immortality by lifting us to the realms of higher mind and intuition. Aquila and its brightest star Altair soar above the Full Moon symbolizing vision and freedom. In flight Aquila is known to carry mighty thunderbolts in his talons. These can shake one to their core, if one resists the divine message. Listen! Co-create with the inner divine one!
Reflections ~ Full Moon's Illumination The Full Moon during Cancer is illuminated by the Sun in the constellation of Gemini, diagonally aligned with its twin stars, Castor and Pollux. Cancer offers the opportunity of the "dark light" of matter to be stimulated by the light of the soul. Gemini keeps the interplay of energies between dualities active and flowing so that eventually they reach synthesis and unity. The Twins, Castor representing the personality and Pollux representing the soul, work together for the betterment of the whole.
Summary The Lunar theme, Co-creating with the Divine One ~ Harmonizing Dualities, continues to be impressed and affirmed with the Full Moon. Aquila the Eagle reminds us that vision and freedom come when the intellect can make the leap to intuition and we awaken to the promptings of our essential divinity. The planet Jupiter expands our minds and our hearts to include the Truth of the Whole. The cooperative Gemini Twins harmonize dualities and establish right relationship on Earth. Cancer stimulates the light in matter with the soul's love, allowing us to create lighted houses where Life can dwell.
It is written in the heavens! The time is ripe for the spiritual kingdom to be co-created on Earth.

~ Waning Gibbous Moon, Ideally the waning Gibbous Moon is a time that readies us to manifest anew. It brings illumination to the influences of the entire lunar cycle. If not, dis-ease results. July 20, predawn Sunday, 1:00am to sunrise, look for the diagonal line-up of Altair the head of Aquila the Eagle in the northwest, the waning Gibbous Moon below in the constellation Capricornus, and Fomalhaut the mouth of the great in the Southern Fish, Pisces Austrinus, in the soutwest. The Moon, as seen in the map above is very near telescopic Neptune. It conjoins the planet 5:55am PDT; 12:55 UT and occults it for viewers in E Asia, Japan, Alaska, NW Canada. The emanations of Neptune and Capricornus tune us to a higher frequency of Spirit and its potential earthly expression. Altair, discussed in the Full Moon section above, brings vision and freedom; Fomalhaut prepares humanity for the new age, as it drinks from the jug of Aquarius. This alignment awakens one to a new cycle of spiritual impulse and service. The Moon affirms and emphasizes this awakening. Imagine new Life pouring into humanity creating opportunities that make the spirit soar. Use this visualization anytime you see Altair or Fomalhaut, know that "invisible" Neptune will continue to lie between them for quite awhile.
Reflections ~ Transformational Triangle A transformational triangle formed by telescopic Neptune, telescopic Uranus and the bright star Fomalhaut to the south. Both planets are retrograde, Neptune (5/26-10/31) and Uranus (6/26-11/26). This means they are at a close orbital approach to Earth and their influence is more potent.
Neptune at its highest brings in new spiritual insight; Uranus shakes us loose from constrictions, ultimately leading us to inclusiveness; Fomalhaut is associated with the transition of the ages from Pisces to Aquarius. These two planets, the southern Royal Star Fomalhaut and the transiting Moon are generating an awakening energy within humanity. Their energies are stimulating the divine desire to set our spirit free. An evolutionary and revolutionary break with the outdated mortal ways is being called for. During this lunar transit, July 20-22, take a deep breath, relax; ask your greater self for guidance. Listen, trust and pepare to manifest anew.
Meet Three Birds of the Summer Triangle These three birds soar in a summer triangle as they fly the stream of the Milky Way. Image Lyra at the western point of the triangle is frequently visualized as a vulture or eagle; its beak is the star Vega. Cygnus at the eastern point is a swan and its tail is the star Deneb. Aquila at the southern point is an eagle; Altair is its head star. Click the Summer Triangle to learn more about these birds and their triangle of stars.
The Last Quarter Moon can bring a crisis in consciousness as the Moon squares the Sun. This cycle's experiences have culminated and one must now prepare for rebirth by initiating change. The Last Quarter Moon is exact July 25, Friday, at 11:42am PDT; 18:42 UT. At this time until the following sunrise the Quarter Moon lies in the constellation Aries. Use this 5am map for orientation.
Aries emphasizes beginnings. It opens us to new cycles of emerging opportunities. The Light emanating from this constellation reveals how each of us may become a vessel for divine expression. During this lunar phase be receptive to the divine ideas streaming forth from Aries. Tune to and cooperate with your guiding spirit, your intuition. Begin to initiate the needed changes.
The waning Crescent Moon phase brings enlightenment at a deep level, a time of conscious growth, clarification of values and the surrender to a new future. Rebirth can occur and playfulness can come forth. Use this 5am map for orientation ... July 27-29, Sunday-Tuesday morning, the waning Moon transits the constellation Taurus the Bull. The enlightened mind is the gift of Taurus when one transforms desire into spiritual aspiration. The July 27 predawn Crescent Moon is seen very near to the west of the sparkling Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters. The famous star cluster marks the shoulder of Taurus the Bull and can be viewed paired with the Crescent Moon from their rising at 1:00am until sunrise. The Pleiades align us with Buddhi or universal mind; they transmit the Light of God into our minds, enabling God's light to descend on Earth.
The following morning, July 28, the waning Moon lies north of Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull. The Pleiades can be seen to the west; the star Elnath lies to the east. This view can be seen from their rising at 1:45am until sunrise. Aldebaran, truly the "Bull’s eye" star of enlightenment, holds a vision that is seeded by the Pleiades. It is a divine ideal that can aid humanity’s evolutionary process through its political systems. The old Moon lies east of Elnath July 29. Elnath, the northern horn tip (upper) horn of Taurus the Bull, is also a southern star in the constellation Auriga. This star lies almost opposite our galactic center. When we look at Elnath we are looking toward the rim of our galaxy and the less-populated regions of intergalactic space, away from the crowded galactic hub. Tune to Elnath for perseverance and breakthroughs. Allow Elnath to expand your horizons, free you from limiting influences and align you with the heart of our galaxy and its blessings. As the diminishing Moon transits this area of the sky, know that along with our personal, national and global struggles comes the hope of breakthroughs and positive change. Know that divinity, the soul, is part of humanity. Invoke this divine essence and its illuminating vision during all struggles. Unite and co-create with the Divine One. Be reborn! Review the inevitable response of humanity. July 30-31, Wednesday-Thursday, the last vestiges of the Moon complete a full circle around the zodiac, as the lunar cycle comes to a close. Returning to the constellation of the Gemini Twins, a lunar sliver first lies near Mebsuta and then diagonally with Pollux and Castor. Look east an hour before sunrise. Each of us has an inner divine twin with whom we can make a covenant and work together to create sacred forms that bring out the best in all. This co-creation establishes Heaven on Earth. All things are possible to Deity through humanity. Ponder building the lighted house.
