The waning Crescent Moon transits Sagittarius.
3/1 The Moon rising at 3:00am lies southwest of Jupiter near the teapot spout of Sagittarius.
3/2 The Moon rising at 3:45am lies at the handle of the teapot of Sagittarius just southwest of Jupiter.

A slim predawn Crescent Moon approaches the twilight Mercury / Venus duo from the west. Line-up west to east: Jupiter, Crescent Moon, Mercury, Venus. Binoculuars come in handy to spot the twilight duo 30 minutes before sunrise hugging the east-southeast horizon.

Mar. 5 A sliver of a morning Moon forms a tight triangle with Mercury and Venus. Use binoculars to view them low on an unobstructed east-southeast twilight horizon. Keep your eyes safe by not looking at the Sun with binoculars.
