Divine Purpose ~ Sacred Heart on Earth

* Printable Image *

east–left, west–right, north–top, south–bottom

The New Moon is represented by the black outlined sphere
The Sun is represented by the large solid black sphere.

The New Moon is really a no Moon! This Moon is too close to the Sun to be seen. It is hidden from our view by the Sun's glowing light.

Note: For those living in San Francisco this New Moon takes place below the eastern horizon 4 hours before sunrise. The Sun, New Moon and planets are located in the same constellations for other parts of the world; these constellations, in differing time zones, lie in a different location above or below the horizon.

Reflections ~ New Moon, Sagittarius, Jupiter,
Mercury, Capricornus, Venus and Ophiuchus

With every New Moon our soul goes into meditation; a potential is enlivened and a seed of consciousness is formed deep within. Take some time to create a sacred space. A new cycle is beginning.

The New Moon, Sun and Jupiter lie in the constellation of Sagittarius, the cosmic Archer. The developed and useful intellect of the aspiring Archer becomes illumined with the intuitive perception and is able to see a heavenly goal. The Archer takes aim, zeroes in on the light and knows the way to go.

As this lunar cycle begins we are impressed to have a ONE-pointed focus and aim for the spiritual vision. This vision unites the dualities into a unified whole and gives birth to the Spiritual Kingdom on Earth.

In astrological terms Sagittarius is the polar opposite for Gemini. … In Gemini we are constantly moving in our identity between higher and lower self. There is fluidity and an interchange. In Sagittarius the keynote of fluidity in this relationship is transformed into a purposeful, focused directed effort in which there is no lost motion. A self-directed, forward moving spirit replaces changeability. Steve Nations

Sagittarius pierces the veil of falsehood and points the way to the expansive heart of our galaxy, while beneficent Jupiter, bringing out the best in all, bridges our solar system with the cosmos. Bailey EXH pg. 155 Both the constellation and planet are expanding the heart, mind and vision of humanity, leading us to wisdom and the externalization of the divine Plan.

Note: Pluto, in alignment with the Heart of the Galaxy and transiting it since December 2005, continues to transform humanity’s personal and cultural values on the broadest possible scale.

Mercury and Capricornus tune us to our immortal spirit and its earthly potential. Though lost in the light supernal of the mountaintop experience associated with Capricornus, we turn our back on that light and journey down the mountain to serve the radiant Life in the material world. Capricornus gives full expression of the earthly nature with immense spiritual possibilities. Mercury messenger of the gods illumines the higher mind unifying the personality and soul and insuring spiritual progress on Earth.

It is important to note that as this lunar cycle begins, Venus has just begun its transit of Ophiuchus our thirteenth constellation, January 6-21. Venus Visits Ophiuchus The union of Venus and Ophiuchus is auspicious for the heart of humanity. Together they light its spiritual flame. Their evocative gift is the greater truth of the heart. They help the Christed Ones emerge on Earth.

This New Moon points humanity in the direction of the universal sacred heart, giving us divine purpose and the ONE-pointed focus of the greater truth.

Radiant Life Global Meditation
This meditation, which culminates at the
Full Moon in Aquarius, begins with this New Moon.

Mercury and Jupiter ~ Planetary Treats During Capricorn

Venus and Jupiter ~ Planetary Treats During Capricorn

Use the New Moon map above for orientation ...

January 9, Wednesday, the youngest slimmest Crescent Moon lies about 2 degrees*above Mercury, low in the southwest. You’ll need an unobstructed horizon, clear skies and maybe even binoculars for this brief observation. Mercury sets a little after 6:00pm, the Moon a half hour later. Review the above New Moon Reflections.

Note: The Moon is in exact conjuntion with Mercury at 7:38am PST; 15:38 UT.

January 10, Thursday, the young Moon transits the constellation Capricornus and is in exact conjuntion with telescopic Neptune at 5:31pm PST; 01:31 UT 1/11. The Moon occults (hides) the planet for observers in New Zealand, the southernmost parts of Australia, and portions of Antarctica. More Info

Capricornus aligns humanity with a new cycle of effort, initiation and service, while Neptune at its highest brings in a new spiritual impulse and strength, as well as guidance and protection. Both the constellation and the planet are known to open the doorway to the head center and bestow humanity with divine purpose and vision.

As the Moon grows in the light provided by our Sun,
we too grow in the light of our Soul

BTW: The four-day-old Moon occurs January 12.

Reflections ~ Waxing Crescent Moon

Overcoming obstacles to the new incoming awareness begins with the waxing Crescent Moon. What was conceived at the New Moon is now in the process of waxing or gestating.

January 11, Friday, the growing Moon lies between telescopic Neptune and telescopic Uranus. Uranus destroys constricting influences and Neptune renews us spiritually. Let go of old ideals and open your heart and head centers to a new spiritual vision that is being birthed in this new lunar cycle.

January 12 the waxing Crescent Moon lies in the dim constellation Aquarius to the right of telescopic Uranus, above Fomalhaut, the brightest star in Pisces Austrinus. 5:30pm Sky Chart

Aquarius focuses the attention of humanity on the good of the whole; its energies are healing and cleansing. The emanations of Uranus assist this cleansing process by overthrowing any outdated established attitudes that stand in the way of unity and inclusiveness. Fomalhaut, at the mouth of the great Southern Fish, Pisces Austrinus, drinks from the jug of Aquarius. Its emanations help us move into the Age of Aquarius. Uranus and Fomalhaut support the radical transformation needed to break free and live the divine Aquarian vision from one’s sacred heart. This lunar phase brings the increasing light of awareness and begins revealing to us the work that must be accomplished.

Reflections ~ First Quarter Moon,
Alrisha, Mirach, M74, M31

The First Quarter Moon, exact January 15 at 11:46am PST; 19:46 UT, squares the Sun bringing up a tension, as it signals the balance between light and dark … moving toward the light. Obstacles to the new incoming awareness show themselves now. Move toward the light.

January 14-15, Monday-Tuesday, The First Quarter Moon transits the constellation Pisces between Alrisha to the south, the knot star that ties the two fishes together and Mirach to the north, the belt or sash star of the constellation Andromeda the Princess. These two stars are in conjunction and are symbolic of two different kinds of bonds. 1/15 Map 9:00pm

The southern knot represents emotional ties that keep us from attaining our divine destiny. The northern belt or sash ties us to unions and commitments of the soul. (see Andromeda, Perseus, The Royal Family)

With Alrisha and Mirach… we have indication of the opportunity to release … antiquated roles we play with each other. At the same time, it provides an opening so we can make greater commitments and strengthen the bonds that allow us to step forth into a new era of life expression. Nick Fiorenza 4/19/04

Two galaxies come into play with these stars and the transiting First Quarter Moon, M74 north of Alrisha and M31 north of Mirach. Images: Pisces / Andromeda

M74: The Perfect Spiral can only be observed in perfect conditions with a small telescope. Alrisha the knot at its best can unite the dual fishes of Pisces making manifest the beauty of spirit in matter. Alrisha's potentially perfect union, though close at hand is normally very difficult to see in imperfect conditions with ordinary vision, not unlike its associated galaxy M74.

The Andromeda Spiral Galaxy (M31) unusual in that it has a double nuclei center “is exemplar for the unified polarities of life expressing in their full majesty and glory.” Nick Fiorenza 4/19/04 With Andromeda's Mirach and M31 we are shown that the potentially divine union is made manifest.

As the tension and obstacles of this lunar phase present themselves, we have the perfect timing to release the bonds of entangling outmoded energies, as well as an open doorway to initiate and strengthen the greater commitments, which allow us to live our highest purpose with a radiant heart and move forward toward our divine destiny.

Geometric Gems Take Shape Around Orion
Gibbous Luna Is Filling with Light and So Are We!
Thursday-Monday, January 17-21
Sky View – 6:15pm

* Printable Image *

Dated spheres represent the Moon's position on the given dates.
The sky view moves 15 degrees** west each hour.

Northwest: Look for the Northern Cross standing upright on the horizon. Deneb, Vega and Altair form the Summer Triangle.

Southwest: Mercury is setting west of telescopic Neptune and telescopic Uranus. Mercury reaches greatest elongation 1/20. In a line with Mercury further to the south is Fomalhaut, the Southern Royal Star.

Southeast: Sirius our brightest star in the heavens has just risen.

Geometric Gems Take Shape Around the Cosmic Giant

Orion the Hunter, a cosmic giant, maps the winter sky. If you locate Orion's evenly spaced three-starred belt and hourglass shape in the heavens, you can easily do some night sky traveling. Orion’s red shoulder star, Betelgeuse, forms the apex of the equilateral Winter Triangle and his bluish-white knee or foot star, Rigel. forms a point of the Great Winter Hexagon. Watch giant Orion transit the southern sky as the evening unfolds. Look Up!

Note: In 2008 Mars continues to align with Betelegeuse and Aldebaran to form the Red Triad. This potent triangle of red celestial bodies shapeshifts with the movement of Mars.

Navigating with Orion
Locate Sirius and Betelgeuse. Meditating on these two
stars can aid in the service of those who are spiritually attuned.
The three belt stars of Orion represent the Three Wise Men.

The 3 stars of this equilateral triangle
are absolutely wonderful. Two of them,
Sirius and Betelgeuse, aid the spiritually attuned.
Two of them are children's birthday stars!

The Great Winter Hexagon
This sacred Geometry can activate
your Divine expression on Earth.

Reflections ~ Waxing Gibbous Moon,
Taurus the Bull, Pleiades, Aldebaran

The waxing Gibbous Moon is more than half lit, moving toward its full sunlit phase. Illumination and growth are offered by this lunar phase, only if the obstacles from the past are cleared away. This must happen, if the energy released with the coming Full Moon is to be utilized.

Use the star map above for orientation ...

January 17-18, Thursday-Friday, the Gibbous Moon transits the constellation Taurus the Bull. During the first night watch Luna move closer and closer to the Bull's shoulder marked by the sparkling blue-white mini dipper-shaped Pleiades star cluster; use binoculars to spot the cluster and check out the Moon. After midnight the Moon begins occulting (hiding) the star cluster (movie) for northern North America and northern Asia. See IOTA. The following night Aldebaran, the Bull's red eye star, lies south of the Moon.

The enlightened mind is the gift of Taurus the Bull when one transforms desire into spiritual aspiration. The Pleiades, intimately linked to Sirius and the higher aspect of mind, seed the enlightened vision of Aldebaran, which in turn holds a divine ideal that can aid humanity's evolutionary process through its political systems, its nations.

Take a moment to imagine all the nations of the world being showered with seeds of light that are carrying an illuminating vision!

Reflections ~ Large Luna,
Mars, the Red Triad, Elnath

January 19, Saturday, this afternoon and evening large Luna at perigee shines this cycle's light of divine purpose and a sacred heart upon Earth. These keynote energies are joined with the emanations of Mars and the Red Triad. Look Up! The Moon appears in the eastern day sky after 2:30pm.

Note: The large "fulling" Moon conjoins Mars 3:35pm PST; 23:35 UT and occults the planet for NW North America and the Arctic IOTA.

The Red Triad, seen in the map above, is acting as a generator for the creation of a new world. Mars the spiritual warrior is giving us plenty of opportunities and challenges to courageously interact with opposing forces. Betelgeuse is stimulating humanity's heart, increasing compassion, cooperation and service within our relationships. Aldebaran is providing an enlightened vision for humanity and its governing systems.

Elnath the bright star near Mars adds its energies to the creation of a new world. This star, the northern horn tip of Taurus the Bull, is also the southern star of Auriga (Image), the tip of our celestial Santa's beard! Elnath helps us persevere and break through to new horizons in alignment with the Heart of our Galaxy.

Look Up! Be blessed from on High and take part in the divine transition.

Reflections ~ The Gemini Twins

January 20-21, Sunday-Monday, as seen in the map above the growing Moon transits the Gemini Twins first approaching its two brightest stars, Castor and Pollux, and then diagonally aligning with them near Pollux.

Though opposites, representing the form (Castor) and spirit (Pollux), the Twins innately cooperate for the benefit of the whole. Pollux the eternal twin is associated with the fulfillment of the soul's greater evolutionary purpose.

… The Twins stand upon the galactic equator … Thus, Gemini is a galactic constellation and ecliptical constellation, one common to our solar plane (ecliptic) ...

The role of the Twins is one of linking and uniting the mission of the soul (galactic plane) into and through our incarnate daily affairs and mode of participating in the world. The Twins work hand-in-hand for the betterment and evolutionary fulfillment of humankind. Nick Fiorenza / Fire The Grid

Together they are and do something greater than either can alone. Imagine humanity unifying the soul and personality and expressing an inner divine potential that benefits all!

The Full Moon Transits the Heart of Cancer
Home of the Beehive Star Cluster (M44) ~ The Manger
Exact Full Moon: Tuesday, January 22 - 5:35am PST; 13:35 UT

This image is one of several that the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Calgary Centre uses in order to give examples of celestial objects that are as big as, or bigger than, the size of the Moon. The Beehive Cluster, a Messier Object known as M44, also known as Praesepe (Latin for “manger”) is shown within the large green circle. This cluster larger than the Moon is found at the heart of the constellation Cancer. Images: 1, 2

The Full Moon of January 22 transits the "Manger" located in the heart of Cancer.

The Full Moon

Any Full Moon experience can offer us greater illumination of our essential divinity. Issues worked on since the New Moon come to a climax. If the restrictions of the past have been released during the waxing Moon, then the Full Moon can bring fulfillment. If not, the Full Moon might bring serious mental conflicts, possibly affecting the physical body.

The Full Moon is exact January 22 at 5:35am PST; 13:35 UT.

Full Moon Global Meditation
SouledOut.org invites you to participate
in the Aquarius Radiant Life Meditation

What was conceived at the New Moon, Divine Purpose ~ Sacred Heart on Earth, review above now comes to fruition and is birthed into the full light of our conscious minds.

The Full Moon's Illumination

The Full Moon during Aquarius is illuminated by the Sun at the western end of the constellation Capricorn; there is also a conjunction of Mercury and telescopic Neptune at the eastern end of this constellation.

Aquarius is the healing Light, which ever shines in the darkness cleansing and purifying it, moving humanity toward group consciousness and service. Capricorn, carrying the seeds of death for the material life, awakens one to the higher frequency of spirit. Neptune at its best strengthens our spiritual hook-up and aids in our spiritual rebirth. Mercury illumines the mind linking the personality to the soul.

Note: Mercury can be seen just after sunset, low on the southwestern horizon, to the right of Fomalhaut the Southern Royal Star, associated with the Age of Aquarius. This 1/22 5:30pm map shows the line-up of Fomalhaut, telescopic Neptune and Mercury. Mercury sets around 6:50pm.

The Full Moon's Position

The Full Moon journeys through the Heart of Cancer, where a star cluster known as the Beehive or Manger resides. Cancer's Keynote: Love builds a lighted house wherein Life dwells.

In Cancer one is bound to be limited within the form in order to learn from life’s experiences. Ultimately, we must come to the realization life is beyond the form experience—we do not belong in the spiritual sense to the form life and eventually we orient ourselves to the life of the spirit, the real everlasting life. Cancer Zodiacal Deity

Cancer urges us to lift ourselves out of the mass instinctual life of the form by developing the intuition and initiating the changes that nourish one’s soul and spirit. Be like the scarab rising out of its dung or the lotus rising out of the mud. Emerge from the darkness into the lighted house of the Christ consciousness, the Group Soul (Manger/Beehive).

In Summary

It's time for the healing heart of humanity to cleanse, purify and consecrate the form. The new Aquarian Age is awakening us to a higher frequency of spirit that must bring forth the greatest good and serve the whole. The rational mind must make way for the intuition to give us spiritual vision, thus leading us to divine purpose and the emergence of the sacred heart on Earth.

Namaste!

January 24-25, Thursday evening-Friday morning, Saturn the Lord and Gibbous Luna rise together below Regulus the Lawgiver Thursday evening. 9pm Map As the night gives way to Friday morning, Luna slides east of the Lord as seen in the predawn sky map above

Reflections ~ Waning Gibbous Luna,
the Lion, the Lawgiver, the Lord

Ideally the waning Gibbous Moon brings illumination to the influences of the entire lunar cycle. If not, dis-ease results.

Leo the Lion, Regulus the Royal Hearted Lawgiver and Saturn Lord of Karma are preparing us to work together with divine will and purpose. They are evoking the Law of the Soul within humanity, the Sacred Heart manifest.

... As Saturn moves through Leo we will start to learn how to manifest our Christ Consciousness ... Many new leaders who have love in their heart will come to power ... Those who have long neglected to love others are going to find themselves in a state of darkness. Mahala Planet Alert 07/05

Saturn is moving back toward Regulus the Lawgiver. The planet’s retrograde motion (12/19/07-5/1/08) is bound to show us our limitations and make us question the laws that are governing our lives. Practices that support genuine self-love, goodwill and the connection with our Higher Power are needed now.

Reflections ~ Sagittarius, Venus, Jupiter and Pluto

Blazing Venus and brilliant Jupiter are currently moving through the constellation Sagittarius toward their closest approach February 1. This constellation is now the home of the invisible “Dwarf” Pluto.

Jan.1-Feb.2 Venus/Jupiter Animation

This lunar cycle, which began in Sagittarius continues to underscore the lunar theme, Divine Purpose ~ Sacred Heart on Earth. The cosmic Archer along with Venus, Jupiter and Pluto continue impressing humanity to aim for the spiritual vision that expands our hearts and minds, which includes the “Whole” Truth that unites us all.

Pluto, though small and difficult to see now, even with a telescope, packs a powerful punch in Sagittarius, where it brings unrelenting transformation to our most basic belief structures.

Expect that which no longer serves the greater whole to fall away. Ask for inner guidance during these times of transition. Embrace the needed changes.

Note: February 1-4, as this lunar cycle comes to an end, the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter along with the waning Crescent Moon activate Nunki in Sagittarius. For maps and reflections click here.

Reflections ~ Virgo the Virgin

January 26-29, Saturday-Tuesday, the predawn Moon as shown in the sky chart above transits Virgo the Virgin. Each previous late night after 10:00pm the Moon can be seen a little further to the west.

As seen in the sky chart above, one can arc from the handle of the Big Dipper to Arcturus and spike down to Spica. Spica symbolizing the sacred womb of Virgo the Virgin, accepts and nourishes the seed of Divine Will from Arcturus, the savior avatar. Arcturus herds the Divine Will, emanating from the 7 rishis of the Big Dipper, in the constellation Ursa Major.

In the mystic world, the Virgin is the human soul that, when cleansed of all early dross, then becomes purged and can receive the divine seed from the spirit of God. Virgo is the pregnant, expectant aspect of maternity; she is expecting the divine child in whom both principles of spirit and matter are blended into perfect unity. This child is born in every human life simply by the opening of the heart, and the subsequent desire to lovingly serve those around us.

... As love manifests itself more fully within ourselves, we naturally follow its light into fuller service and a wiser understanding of the plan on earth. And when this occurs, we are on our way to becoming divine sons and daughters of God, working through matter on the physical plane. Virgo Zodiacal Deity

Imagine the heart of humanity becoming sacred, on fire with Love.

Reflections ~ Last Quarter Moon, Libra

The Last Quarter Moon can bring a crisis in consciousness as the Moon squares the Sun. This cycle's experiences have culminated and one must now prepare for rebirth by initiating change. The Last Quarter Moon is exact January 29, Tuesday, at 9:03pm PST; 05:03 UT 1/30.

January 29/30, Tuesday/Wednesday evening, Luna transits Libra, rising at 12:15am Wednesday morning, in diagonal alignment with the two brightest stars of Libra, Zubenelgenubi to the southwest and Zubeneschamali to the northeast. Compare this Libra star map to the sky chart above for orientation.

The Libran Way evokes the right use of the pairs of opposites, a poised balance between spirit and matter. Luna transiting the Zuben stars calls for a reconciliation of the past, especially in regards to human relationships. Ponder forgiveness as you initiate change and give birth to a sacred heart.

Reflections ~ Waning Crescent Moon, Scorpius

The waning Crescent Moon phase brings enlightenment at a deep level, a time of conscious growth, clarification of values and the surrender to a new future. Rebirth can occur and playfulness can come forth.

February 1-2, Friday-Saturday, the predawn Moon journeys through Scorpius. Friday morning it is seen near the heart of the cosmic Scorpion, Antares, as shown in the map above. Saturday morning the Moon is positioned over the Scorpion’s stinger near the Heart of our Milky Way Galaxy. Map

As the Moon transits the burning ground of Scorpius it activates the transformative power within us. This constellation influences a turning point in the life of humanity and in the life of the individual. Outdated governing systems and old ways of being are tested. The Scorpion’s “rebellious” Antares and its stinger stars make sure our vision is current and aligns with the expansive heart of our Milky Way Galaxy.

Note: Saturday, February 2 is Groundhog Day and Candlemas. Learn More

Reflections ~ Sagittarius, Nunki, Venus, Jupiter,
the invisible “Dwarf” Pluto

February 3-4, Sunday-Monday, the predawn Moon journeys through Sagittarius forming two different elegant triangles with Jupiter and Venus. Sunday morning the slim Moon is seen above the spout of the teapot astersim of the cosmic Archer. Map Monday morning a sliver of a Moon is positioned below Nunki at the handle of the “teapot” as shown in the map above.

Gaiafield Super Tuesday Global Meditation
Sunday, February 3

This meditation brings spiritual support to the US political
process, since wise leadership from the USA could be a
great force for leading the world into the Planetary Era.

This lunar cycle ends in Sagittarius the constellation where it began. The lunar theme: Divine Purpose ~ Sacred Heart on Earth continues to be emphasized with the conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and Nunki on February 1 and the conjunction of Venus, Jupiter, Nunki and the waning Crescent Moon on February 4!

Note: The darker the sky, the better the chance to see Nunki and the sliver of a Moon. (Begin looking at 5:30am) Binoculars come in handy and add a special treat, but don’t look at the Sun with them. Keep your eyes safe!

These two images and definition give one a better understanding of the following quote. Sagittarius, Milky Way, Galactic Center - ecliptic - the Archer and Nunki

Sagittarius resides where the galactic plane or river (Milky Way) flows into the incarnate plane of the soul (the ecliptic). The galactic plane provides the greater nourishing context for the incarnating soul--the field of unified creative substance from which our world is manifest.

Nunki inspires us to function from the underlying power of the galactic ocean of divine love, to trust in the flowing waters of Source. Nunki "on the vane of the arrow at the Archer's hand" provides a guiding and stabilizing force used to ensure the Zen Archer hits his target--to invoke and access the power and confidence of divine love that enables our intent of purpose to undauntingly manifest in the material world. Nunki teaches us to steer our intent with love, as it is the intended focus of love that manifests our heart's truth from the unified field of creative intelligence. Nunki requires we trust in this power and demonstrate our ability to direct it. Nick Fiorenza March/April 2005

The invisible “Dwarf” Pluto positioned with Venus and Jupiter in the constellation Sagittarius was reflected upon earlier in this edition of Moon Dances. Review (Click the back button to return here.)

As this lunar cycle ends Sagittarius rides toward the light with an activated Nunki, the temporary support of dazzling Venus and Jupiter and the long lasting impressive partnership of "invisible" Pluto. This celestial cavalry bound for the Heart of our Galaxy leads humanity beyond its mortal limits toward its spiritual inheritance. A new day is dawning! Open to these allied emanations, which evolve the human kingdom into the spiritual kingdom so that all the Sons and Daughters of God may rejoice and forever play in the life-giving galactic ocean of divine love.
