GC represents the approximate postion of the
Galactic Center, the Heart of the Milky Way Galaxy.

The New Moon is really a no Moon! This Moon is too close to the Sun to be seen. It is hidden from our view by the Sun's glowing light.

Note: For those living in San Francisco this New Moon takes place above the southeastern horizon 1 1/2 hours after sunrise. The Sun, New Moon and planets are located in the same constellations for other parts of the world; these constellations, in differing time zones, lie in a different location above or below the horizon.

New Moon ~ Potent Energies/Alignments

With every New Moon our soul goes into meditation; a potential is enlivened and a seed of consciousness is formed deep within. Take some time to create a sacred space. A new cycle is beginning.

As you can see from looking at the map above, there are many potent energies/alignments influencing this lunar cycle right from the beginning. It feels like humanity is passing through a New Moon doorway that leads to an awakening awareness from which there is no turning back. The end of days as we know them are unfolding. Galactic influences are reshaping our solar system, our planet and our consciousness. This solstice lunar cycle is seeding new Life from beyond our solar system in evolutionary pulses via our Sun and its planets.

The Sun and New Moon line up south of Sabik.

Sabik, Eta Ophiuchus stimulates discovery about the means for our bio-logical transmutation into an ascended bio-illumined form. This includes medical-based artsciences associated with genetic evolution--the techniques and technologies that support humankind's evolution from an incarnational modality of perpetuated degeneration, death and rebirth, to one where we express the higher-dimensional light codings of our souls--living as bio-illumined beings exemplified by Ophiuchus. This also includes the means to re-define the cellular patterns we hold so we can re-create our lives, to create a new experience rather than perpetuate those existing. Nick Fiorenza 10/21-22/06

Mercury messenger of the gods, lines up diagonally with Sabik and Antares the red heart star of Scorpius. Mercury illumines the mind strengthening the communication between the soul and personality, while Antares keeps humanity’s vision current, often through rebellious actions. New evolutionary directions are taking hold for humanity's embrace.

Pluto the agent of death, in conjunction with the Galactic Heart, continues to make sure the “higher-dimensional light codings” of Sabik, Ophiuchus, as well as the Galactic Center have fertile ground within humanity to grow.

Pluto, Jupiter and the Galactic Center (GC), the Heart of the Milky Way Galaxy, are all aligned in the constellation of Sagittarius. Pluto transits this area every 246 years and Jupiter every 12 years. This is a rare evolutionary pulse of new Life!

[This alignment] is resonant with the realization of climate change awakening around the globe. … We are confronted with the essentials of survival on an individual level of personal experience and as a collective. Inspiration, devastation, optimism and fear are all rolled into one. It is a small world and we are One. Extreme, magnified and intense - what is essential? … We are ending an important cycle of collective belief and are laboring in birth of the new. … Jacqueline Lasahn AstroFlash 12/5/07

Sagittarius … whose arrow points toward Galactic Center [*]… is responsible for our higher spiritual education. … supreme defender of the … evolutionary journey, of the spiritual fulfillment of humankind. … The Zen archer pierces the veils, allowing the falsified, all that is not of essence, to dissolve, to see only his target and realize (reveal) its heavenly truth. Nick Fiorenza Revelation of the Gate of God

The Sun’s willful life force links the intuitive illumination of Mercury with Jupiter’s beneficent mind expanding wisdom. Jupiter links our solar system with cosmic forces (Bailey EXH pg. 155). The New Moon bridges the vision of Antares with the Galactic Center’s intelligence.

What are we learning? How are we changing during these end times? How can we help each other create a new world with the pulsing Life from beyond and within?

The Crescent Moon Waxes ~ Meteors Fly Past Mars!
Thursday-Saturday, December 13-15
Look West, Look East, Look Up During December!

Image: Heavens-Above / Photoshop

* Printable Image *

Use this map during December to locate the evening stars between 7pm-8pm. The position of the Moon (large dated spheres) varies from night to night. The sky view moves 15 degrees** west each hour. Mars is moving eastward toward the feet of the Gemini Twins, then toward Elnath.

West ... The Summer Triangle is setting in the northwest. Fomalhaut, the brightest star in the southwest, is known as the Southern Royal Star.

East ... Mars, growing brighter and bigger, is moving eastward toward and beyond the feet of the Gemini Twins. Look for the Red Triad, a shape shifting red triangle, made by "moving" Mars and the two "fixed" stars, Betelgeuse and Aldebaran. Compare their color and brightness. Note: Look for the Great Winter Hexagon and the Winter Triangle; watch shooting stars fly past Mars December 13-15. Keep reading.

Look Up! Watch the winter stars and Mars move from the eastern horizon to overhead as the evening progresses.

Reflections ~ Waxing Crescent Moon, Meteors

Overcoming obstacles to the new incoming awareness begins with the waxing Crescent Moon. What was conceived at the New Moon, End of Days ~ New Life from Beyond Review above is now in the process of waxing or gestating.

December 13-15, Thursday-Saturday, Moon transits a triangle of transformation that is invisible to the unaided eye. It is formed by telescopic Neptune, telescopic Uranus and the easily seen Southern Royal Star, Fomalhaut. (see map above).

Neptune at its highest brings in new spiritual insight; Uranus shakes us loose from constrictions, ultimately leading us to inclusiveness; Fomalhaut is associated with the transition of the ages from Pisces to Aquarius. An evolutionary and revolutionary break with our outdated mortal ways is being evoked. The transiting Moon reminds us the end of our old ways brings forth the end of days as we know them.

Dec. 14 The Moon conjoins / occults Neptune 10:22am PST; 18:22 UT. IOTA.
Dec. 16 The Moon conjoins Uranus 8:24am PST; 15:24 UT.

The third shower of meteors to fly past Mars in 2007 peaks during this time. The radiant is located near Castor, the Gemini Twin representing the personality, which cooperates with Pollux, the Gemini Twin representing the soul. See Geminid Meteors Fly Past Mars to learn more about these shooting stars.

Note: 12/18 Mars is at its closest approach to Earth. See Mars is Millions of Miles Closer.

Reflections ~ First Quarter Moon

Use star map above for orientation ...

The First Quarter Moon, exact December 17 at 2:17am PST; 10:17 UT, squares the Sun and brings up a tension, as it signals the balance between light and dark … moving toward the light. Obstacles to the new incoming awareness show themselves now. Move toward the light.

December 16-17, Sunday-Monday, the First Quarter Moon lies in Pisces, the constellation of the World Savior. Above lies the Square of Pegasus the Winged Horse. The ancient Babylonians called this Square "The Doorway to Paradise." Below lies Cetus the Whale or Sea Monster.

As obstacles arise during this time, you may find yourself struggling with the forces of good and evil. Open to the emanations of Pisces and Pegasus. Ask for and listen to divine guidance; transform any struggles or evil into good. Ride toward the Light through the gates of Paradise, to the Source of Life. Fill up! Return to Earth, a self-consecrated human being, radiating a new Life from beyond.

Reflections ~ The Waxing Gibbous Moon,
Taurus the Bull, Pleiades, Aldebaran, Elnath

The waxing Gibbous Moon is more than half lit, moving toward its full sunlit phase. Illumination and growth are offered by this lunar phase, only if the obstacles from the past are cleared away. This must happen, if the energy released with the coming Full Moon is to be utilized.

Use Star Map below for orientation ...

December 21, Friday, the waxing Gibbous Moon aligns with the sparkling blue-white mini dipper-shaped Pleiades star cluster above the red star Aldebaran in the constellation Taurus.

The enlightened mind is the gift of Taurus the Bull when one transforms desire into spiritual aspiration. The Pleiades are intimately linked to Sirius, our Earth, humanity and the higher aspect of mind. The Pleiades seed the vision of Aldebaran, which in turn holds a divine ideal that can aid humanity's evolutionary process through its political systems, its nations.

Tonight marks the winter solstice for those in the Pacific time zone. The Light is returning!

Esoeteric / Astronomical significance of the December solstice

The Moon's waxing gibbous phase, the emanations of Taurus the Bull, the peak galactic alignment and the December solstice all bring an illuminating Light that awakens humanity to new Life from beyond and within. Enlightened new ways bring the end of days.

December 22, Saturday, join people all around the world in global meditations celebrating the December solstice! The "fulling" Moon approaches Elnath. The Moon has entered the Sacred Hoop. (see map below)

Elnath, the tip of the northern (upper) horn of Taurus the Bull, is also a southern star in the constellation Auriga. This star lies almost opposite our galactic center. When we look at Elnath we are looking toward the rim of our galaxy and the less-populated regions of intergalactic space, away from the crowded galactic hub.

Tune to Elnath for perseverance and breakthroughs. Allow Elnath to expand your horizons, free you from limiting influences and align you with the heart of our galaxy and its blessings.

BTW: The constellation Auriga is our celestial Santa!

Note: Jupiter is in exact conjunction with the Sun at 9:56pm PST; 05:56 UT 12/23.

Navigating with Orion

The Great Winter Hexagon ~ The Sacred Hoop

The Great Winter Hexagon shown in the above image is a heavenly sacred geometry made up of stars that guide the way and expand the heart. It lies over the Milky Way, the river of souls, like a lens that leads to a place of Holy Communion with the Christ consciousness.

The Lakota Indians and other Plains Indians call this hexagon the Sacred Hoop and consider it to be extremely auspicious when the Moon and planets move through the Hoop.

The ecliptic (plane of the solar system) and the Milky Way (plane of the galaxy) cross through and intersect near the middle of this configuration, actually forming a cross within a circle. The place of the intersection is between the feet of the Twins and the horns of the Bull ... see blue dot on image. At this current time the exact placement of the summer solstice (0 degree Cancer) falls on this intersection.

Numerous myths and oral histories from Native American to Egyptian to Northern-European to Babylonian have referred to this intersection of the Milky Way with the zodiac as the place where souls enter into incarnation. This was sometimes known as the 'gate of Cancer’. (Note that the opposite point of the sky, between the Scorpion and the Archer in the direction of the galactic center, known as the ‘gate of Capricorn’ was seen as an exit point, where souls leave upon death.) The soul was seen to be flowing down the Milky Way and then entering between the Bull and Twins in these tellings.

Inside the Hoop we also have the constellation most popularly known in the western world as Orion. The Mayans perceived the sword of Orion as a sacred fire of creation inside a fire pit. Amazingly, modern astronomers have discovered that this region of space is actually churning out new stars! … an Alaskan shamanic tradition perceived the great equilateral triangle [The Winter Triangle] in the Hoop formed by Sirius, Procyon, and Betelgeuse, as a ‘heavens gate’, another version of an entry point or entrance into incarnation. Shamanic Astrology / See article for THE SACRED HOOP

BTW: Can you locate the Red Triad in the Sacred Hoop? It is formed by the Red Planet and two red stars, Betelgeuse and Aldebaran. Energies of struggle and sacrifice (Mars), love and service (Betelgeuse) and illumination and elightenment (Aldebaran) circulate through and emanate from the Red Triad, which acts as a generator for the creation of new world.

Note: To read the waxing Gibbous Moon reflections for Dec. 21-22 found above the star map click here.

The Full Moon

Any Full Moon experience can offer us greater illumination of our essential divinity. Issues worked on since the New Moon come to a climax. If the restrictions of the past have been released during the waxing Moon, then the Full Moon can bring fulfillment. If not, the Full Moon might bring serious mental conflicts, possibly affecting the physical body.

The Full Moon is exact December 23 at 5:16pm PST; 01:16 UT 12/24.

Full Moon Global Meditation
SouledOut.org invites you to participate
in the Capricorn Radiant Life Meditation

What was conceived at the New Moon, End of Days ~ New Life from Beyond, review above now comes to fruition and is birthed into the full light of our conscious minds.

Reflections ~ Full Moon's Illumination

The Full Moon during Capricorn is illuminated by the Sun conjoined Jupiter near Mercury in the constellation Sagittarius.

Capricorn carries the seeds of death for the material life and awakens one to the higher frequency of spirit. Sagittarius the cosmic Archer points humanity in the direction of the All-One, the inclusive galactic heart. Beneficent Jupiter expands the mind of humanity with wisdom and bridges our solar system with the cosmos. Mercury the messenger of the gods illumines the mind, uniting the soul and personality, affirming the Archer’s spiritual vision, one-pointed focus and the way to go.

Reflections ~ Full Moon's Position

The Full Moon and Mars in conjunction in the constellation of the Gemini Twins emphasize the tensions and relationship between the personality and the soul. This uncomfortable and purposeful dance of the dualities eventually leads to cooperation and synthesis.

Betelgeuse the red shoulder star of Orion aligns with Mars at almost the same altitude. The emanations of this star come to the rescue of those who are spiritually attuned by stimulating the heart center, hence increasing compassion, cooperation and planetary service.

These aligned celestial bodies affirm that our present world of dualities and evolutionary struggles can offer opportunities, which lead to heartfelt expansions of consciousness and the end of the dark days as we know them.

The Sacred Hoop guides the way to a place of the Christed heart, and Holy Communion.

In Summary

This lunar cycle culminating with the Full Moon during Capricorn is awakening humanity to higher impulses and dimensions. The Full Moon conjoined Mars in the constellation Gemini, illuminated by the Sun conjoined Jupiter near Mercury in the constellation Sagittarius is helping the fourth human kingdom evolve into the fifth spiritual kingdom. The Christed Ones are giving birth to the Light, manifesting radiant Life on Earth.

When the dual forces of the cosmic brothers (Gemini) become the energy of the one who rides towards the light (Sagittarius) then the fourth becomes the fifth. Humanity, the link, becomes the Hierarchy, the bestower of all good. Then all the Sons of God [and Daughters of God] rejoice. Esoteric Astrology, pg. 56 / page online

December 24, Monday, the Christmas Eve Moon approaches the brighter Gemini Twin, Pollux, representing the soul and its greater evolutionary purpose. Take time to connect with your soul, the divine essence within your being. Be still and know.

Note: Mars reaches opposition and peak brightness today. The Red Planet can be seen all night long, in the east at sunset, overhead at midnight and in the west at sunrise. If you miss seeing Mars tonight, it looks just as bright several weeks before and after this date.

BTW: Mars is keeping Santa company this year! Look for Auriga, our celestial Santa, overhead at midnight and you'll see Mars nearby! You better watch out?!?! Use Santa+Mars 12/15 9pm star map for orientation. Star Gazer thinks Mars' red light will completely outshine Rudolph's!

Earth’s Best View of Mars Until 2016!

December 25, Tuesday, the Moon of Christmas exits the Sacred Hoop and lies very near the Manger, the Beehive cluster (M44), at the heart of the constellation of Cancer. We are reminded to emerge from the darkness into the lighted house of the Christ consciousness, the Group Soul (Manger/Beehive). Cancer's Keynote: Love builds the lighted house wherein Life dwells.

Note: Each night the Moon moves eastward 1/2° per hour, which is coincidentally the distance of its own diameter.

The Dec. 27 Moon shown on the above map rises Wednesday night, Dec. 26 at 8:15pm east of Algenubi.

The Dec. 28 Moon shown on the above map rises near Regulus Thursday night, Dec. 27 at 9:15pm.

The Dec. 29 Moon shown on the above map rises a little closer to Saturn Friday night, Dec. 28 at 10:25pm.

The Dec. 30 Moon shown on the above map (at the head of Virgo the Virgin) rises Saturday night, Dec. 29 at 11:25pm also at the head of the Virgin just a little more to the west.

BTW: The Moon conjoins Saturn December 28 at 12:26pm PST; 20:26 UT.

Reflections ~ Waning Gibbous Moon,
Leo the Lion, the Lawgiver, the Lord

Ideally the waning Gibbous Moon brings illumination to the influences of the entire lunar cycle. If not, dis-ease results.

Leo's highest expression is the fully integrated personality who stands out from the "herd" and is ignited by the fire of Divine Will. The one who masters Leo's energies can begin the group work of the Soul. Regulus the Lawgiver and heart star of Leo the Lion is evoking the Law of the Soul within humanity. Saturn Lord of the Rings and Lord of Karma continues to administers tests of leadership, honesty and integrity as it transits the constellation of Leo.

... As Saturn moves through Leo we will start to learn how to manifest our Christ Consciousness ... Many new leaders who have love in their heart will come to power ... Those who have long neglected to love others are going to find themselves in a state of darkness. Mahala Planet Alert 07/05

Saturn Retrograde

Saturn is moving westward back toward Regulus the Lawgiver. It began its retrograde December 19 one day before the Peak Galactic Conjunctions and continues this motion through May 1, 2008. Saturn retrograde tends to reveal one's limits and it is beginning at a time when galactic energies are stretching our limits! Be humble and patient now. Use this Saturn retrograde wisdom as a guide:

... we have a great opportunity to reformulate structures of belief that may be holding us back and to build new structures that easily support authentic expressions of our true radiant divine nature. Practices that support genuine self-love are especially helpful. Shamanic Astrology 11/22/05.

As the Moon transits this area of the sky, know that the end of days as humanity knows them is taking place. Higher Laws and Powers must now govern. We must humbly accept our limits and allow the Love and Law of the Soul to move us beyond them, as we expand toward an authentic, truthful life that respects all.

Reflections ~ Last Quarter Moon,
Virgo the Virgin, Porrima, Spica

The Last Quarter Moon can bring a crisis in consciousness as the Moon squares the Sun. This cycle's experiences have culminated and one must now prepare for rebirth by initiating change. The Last Quarter Moon is exact December 30, Sunday, at 11:51pm PST; 07:51 UT 12/31.

The exact Last Quarter Moon conjoins Porrima, a dim star in Virgo the Virgin, a constellation which nourishes the form and the Christ-consciousness within the form. Porrima, named after the goddess of childbirth and prophecy is emphasizing new beginnings and the use of our guiding intuition during this phase of rebirth and change.

As the night progresses toward the dawn of December 31, the Moon moves east of Porrima on its way toward Spica the brightest star and sacred womb of the Virgin. Constellation Image By the predawn hours of New Year's January 1, 2008 the Moon conjoins Spica. 1/1/08 Sky Chart 6:00am

BTW: Spica accepts the seed of Divinity from Arcturus, a golden star, which can be seen overhead. Look for the Big Dipper and arc from its handle to Arcturus overhead and then spike down to Spica.

The Divine Essence in all of us is being stimulated as the old year ends and the New Year begins. Along with this stimulation comes an awakening of our intuitive abilities and a concern for the betterment of our world. Pay attention to the guidance from on High. This is a time when all of us are being called to see a larger picture of our world, one that allows us to contribute to the greater good. Our spiritual light is being turned on more and more. Together we are strengthening the light grid of planet Earth, the Holy Grail. In Divine alignment, our intuitions and resulting actions help create Paradise on Earth. We join as the group Soul on Earth and become the Christed ONE, the Return of the Light.

Note: Sirius the "New Year's Star" reaches its highest point overhead at midnight, heralding the New Year.

Hmmm ... January 2 the Earth is at perihelion, closest to the Sun at 4:00pm PST (00:00 UT 1/3). Fasten your seat belts! The Sun ~ Far and Near

Reflections ~ Venus, Libra, Scorpius,
the Waning Crescent Moon

The waning Crescent Moon phase brings enlightenment at a deep level, a time of conscious growth, clarification of values and the surrender to a new future. Rebirth can occur and playfulness can come forth.

As the waning Moon approaches, meets and passes Venus, it arouses feelings of right relationship and a wise creative unifying love within humanity. It calls for new life and a set of values that precipitates synthesis.

The Libran Way evokes the right use of the pairs of opposites, a poised balance between spirit and matter. Luna transiting the Zuben stars calls for a reconciliation of the past, especially in regards to human relationships.

The cosmic Scorpion demands personal transformation while “rebellious” Antares keeps the vision for humanity’s governing systems up-to-date.

Venus promotes diplomacy by linking the lower mind to the higher mind, ultimately fostering the universal mind known as Buddhi, true love. Venus gifts humanity with understanding, wise love, unity, creativity and beauty. These qualities, when incorporated into the life give birth to the sons and daughters of God, the self-consecrated human beings who manifest their Divinity on Earth.

As this lunar cycle comes to an end, rebirth and a clarification of values are knocking at the door. Take the time to ponder and increase right human relations in your world. A new day is dawning and the game of Life must be played in a brand new compassionate way.

January 6-8, Sunday-Tuesday, Venus rising by 4:45am lies very near Antares. One lunar cycle is ending and another is beginning. Review reflections above and stay tuned for the next edition of the Night Sky.

Note: The New Moon occurs January 8 at 3:37am PST; 11:37 UT.
