Reflections ~ New Moon, Virgo the
Virgin, With every New Moon our soul goes into meditation; a potential is enlivened and a seed of consciousness is formed deep within. Take some time to create a sacred space. A new cycle is beginning. The New Moon and Sun are stirring the immortal essence of humanity from its slumber, as they lie in Virgo the Virgins heavenly Holy Grail. The emanations of the Virgins celestial chalice nurture and shield the hidden divinity of each one of us until spiritual birth can occur. Spica symbolizing the sacred womb of the Virgin, accepts and nourishes the seed of divine will from Arcturus, the savior avatar. This seed of divinity resides in Virgo and therefore within Humanity, the sacred Chalice for the Divine Host on Earth. The Higher Power within each and every one of us is being aroused, as this new lunar cycle begins. Its still small voice is speaking. Can you hear it? Corvus, in alignment with Arcturus, Virgo, the Sun and Moon, assures us of our essential divinity and its everyday guiding voice. We need only listen, trust and take action.
Use the map above for orientation October 11, Thursday, the Moon, Spica and the Sun, are in a horizontal alignment above the western horizon all setting at the same time! As the Sun sets, with Spica and the Moon lost in its glowing embrace, imagine the Christed Ones rising up within humanity. October 12, Friday, a slivered Moon lies just west (below) Mercury the messenger of the gods and the two Zuben stars. These two stars are the balance of Libra and the "missing claws" of Scorpius. Zubenelgenubi (zoo-BEN-al-je-NEW-bee) has a karmic quality, revealing our past experiential patterns, while Zubeneschamali (zoo-BEN-ess-sha-MAH-lee) is dharmic, reconciling the past, moving us into the future. Listen. Is there a message for you about moving forward in balance?

October 14, Sunday, an unobstructed horizon is needed to see a very low, slivered Moon diagonally lining up below Antares and Jupiter. This is a difficult and brief observation. Plan a sunset outing and bring binoculars for an added treat. Evening views of the Anatares and Jupiter pairing are limited now. Savor the sight!
October 15, Monday, tonight the slim Crescent Moon rises up to meet Antares, the red heart star of the cosmic Scorpion. Antares lies to the right of the Moon and Jupiter lies above. They form a heavenly triangle of transformation.
October 16, Tuesday, the waxing Crescent Moon rises higher directly to the left of Jupiter at the Galactic Center (GC) above the stinger of the cosmic Scorpion, Scorpius! Telescopic Pluto lies above the Moon, aligning with the Heart of the Galaxy (GC) and the stinger. 8:30pm Star Map The teapot asterism of Sagitarius lies to the left of the Moon.
Reflections ~ Waxing Crescent Moon,
Scorpius, Ophiuchus, As the Moon grows in the light provided
by our Sun, Overcoming obstacles to the new incoming awareness begins with the waxing Crescent Moon. What was conceived at the New Moon, The Still Small Voice Speaks ~ Listen, Trust, Act, Review above is now in the process of waxing or gestating. The forward, retrograde and now again, forward motion of Jupiter has been stoking the fires of the Scorpions burning ground and enlivening the agent of death, Pluto, since December 2006! Pluto has been lingering over the Heart of our Galaxy and thus, the stinger of the Scorpion for the same amount of time! Jupiter has been following a path through Ophiuchus the Medicine Man, the Serpent Bearer, often shown with his left foot on the heart of the Scorpion and his right foot above the stinger. Image 1, 2 The emanations of both of these constellations give rise to the kundalini serpent fire within each of us. This fire is evolutionary and transformative. Beneficent Jupiter offers us expansion of the heart and mind, and therefore movement into new realms. Antares the fiery heart of the Scorpion demands we take a stand for our truth, thus keeping visions current, ensuring growth, evolution and change. Pluto at the Galactic Center is midwifing a total shift in consciousness, a transformation of personal and cultural values on the broadest possible scale. This is a time of initiation leading to a greater freedom. It is a twilight time with darkness enveloping us, yet deep within a divine stirring is occurring. What is rising? What needs to set out of sight, to die, to transform? Listen, trust, act. Jupiter ~ Planetary Treat During Libra October 17, Wednesday, the Moon lies in the teapot asterism of Sagittarius the Archer, who rides toward the Light, synthesizes dualities, pierces the veil of falsehood and is able to point the way to the all inclusive galactic heart. Look within and ride like the Archer!

~ First Quarter Moon, The First Quarter Moon, exact October 19 at 1:33am PDT; 08:33 UT, signals the balance between light and dark ... moving toward the light. Obstacles to the new incoming awareness show themselves now. Move toward the light; fill with radiant Life! October 18-19, Thursday-Friday, the Moon transits south of Aquila the Eagle. This great bird of Zeus is a messenger from heaven, who leads us to immortality by lifting us to the realms of higher mind and intuition. Aquila soars above the Moon symbolizing vision and freedom. Watch out for the mighty thunderbolts in this eagle's talons. These can shake one to their core. Listen to the messenger! Let go and let God! Altair, the head of the eagle, is Aquila's brightest star and is also the southern point of the Summer Triangle, a transformational gateway. The qualities of this gateway, when personally activated lead one on the path of the gods to divine unity.
Reflections
~ The Waxing Gibbous Moon, The waxing Gibbous Moon is more than half lit, moving toward its full sunlit phase. Illumination and growth are offered by this lunar phase, only if the obstacles from the past are cleared away. This must happen, if the energy released with the coming Full Moon is to be utilized. October 20-22, Saturday-Monday, the Gibbous Moon transits a transformational triangle formed by telescopic Neptune, telescopic Uranus and the Royal Star, Fomalhaut, to the south. (see map above)
Both planets are retrograde, Neptune (5/24-10/30) and Uranus (6/23-11/23). This means they are at a close orbital approach to Earth and their influence is more potent. These two telescopic planets, the southern Royal Star, Fomalhaut, and the transitting Moon are generating an awakening witin humanity. Neptune at its highest brings in new spiritual insight; Uranus shakes us loose from constrictions, ultimately leading us to inclusiveness; Fomalhaut is associated with the transition of the ages from Pisces to Aquarius. These energies are stimulating the greater freedom urge of our immortal spirit. Change is in the air! An evolutionary and revolutionary break with our outdated mortal ways is being evoked. Remember, take a deep breath and relax; ask your greater self for guidance. Listen, trust and take action.
Morning Meteors ~ Reflections October 20-22 check out the Orionid meteor shower which is active from 10/15-29. It peaks during the predawn hours of Sunday, October 21. Look southeast 1:00am-sunrise Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Hmmm ... Mars and Betelgeuse "bookend" the radiant! See Star Map. While you're waiting to see a shooting star, locate Mars and Betelgeuse. Imagine an increase of spiritual warriors (Mars) on Earth, taking action in wise, compassionate ways (Betelgeuse). Make a wish upon your favorite winter star!
Reflections
~ The "Fulling" Moon Use the map above for orientation ... October 23-24, Tuesday-Wedbesday, the grwoing Gibbous Moon lies in Pisces, the constellation of the World Savior. Above lies the Square of Pegasus the Winged Horse. The ancient Babylonians called this Square "The Doorway to Paradise." Below lies Cetus the Whale or Sea Monster. The "fulling" Moon first transits the diagonal line-up of Diphda in Cetus and Algenib in Pegasus. It then continues its journey through Pisces east of Pegasus. Diphda (Beta Ceti) in the thrasing tail of Cetus represents the struggle of being in human form. Algenib symbolizes the wing of the Flying Horse who has the innate capacity for spiritualization and for inverting evil into good. As obstacles arise during this time, open to the emanations of Pisces, Alegnib and Pegasus. Ask for and listen to divine guidance; transform any struggles or evil into good. Ride the wings of your soul toward the Light through the gates of Paradise, to the Source of Life. Fill up! Return to Earth, a self-consecrated human being, who manifests the radiant Life.

Reflections ~ The Full Moon Any Full Moon experience can offer us greater illumination of our essential divinity. Issues worked on since the New Moon come to a climax. If the restrictions of the past have been released during the waxing Moon, then the Full Moon can bring fulfillment. If not, the Full Moon might bring serious mental conflicts, possibly affecting the physical body. The Full Moon is exact Thursday, 10/25, at 9:51pm PDT; 04:51 UT 10/26 Full
Moon Global Meditation What was conceived at the New Moon, The Still Small Voice Speaks ~ Listen, Trust, Act, review above now comes to fruition and is birthed into the full light of our conscious minds.
Reflections ~ Full Moon's Illumination The Full Moon during Scorpio is illuminated by the Sun positioned in sidereal Libra just east of Mercury and Spica. Scorpio helps us attune to the three lights of form, of soul and of life, which meet, blend and rise. Libra, Mercury and Spica give us insight into the greater whole as we balance the apparent dualities of matter and spirit, of soul and personality. Both Zodiacal Deities, the planet and star affirm our greater identity, which sacredly manifests on Earth as we recognize, respect and unify the separate expressions of our being. It is good to remember humanity is evolving. We are all in the process of learning to listen, trust and act on the unifying guidance of the still small voice in our everyday lives.
Reflections ~ Full Moon's Position October 25, Thursday, the Full Moon lies at the border of the constellations Aries the Light of Life Itself and Pisces the World Savior, the Light revealing the Light of Life Itself. The Moon is in alignment with the butting head of the Aries Ram and the Pisces knot that ties the two fishes together. Aries represents the birthplace of Divine ideas and streams forth the will or power of Deity, made manifest through the creative process. The butting head of Aries presents challenges with authority figures, arrogance and greed. Pisces identifies us with Divine Consciousness. The knot of Pisces is "bound" to make us aware of the emotional ties that bind and keep us from attaining our highest potential and divine destiny. Keep Your Eye on the Eagle We Are The Radiant Life October 26, Friday, the Moon transits the constellation Aries. Open to Divine ideas, promptings. The still small voice is speaking! How the Still Small Voice Works
October 27, Saturday, the waning Gibbous Moon readies us to manifest anew. It lies near the blue-white Pleiades star cluster above the red star Aldebaran. Star Map The Pleiades are intimately linked to Sirius, our Earth, humanity and the higher aspect of mind. The Pleiades seed the vision of Aldebaran, which in turn holds a divine ideal that can aid humanity's evolutionary process through its political systems, its nations. Invoke the illuminating light of the Creator. Listen and ready yourself to anchor Divinity on Earth.
The dated spheres represent the approximate position of the Moon on the given dates.
A Sacred Hoop ~ A Hallowed Moon This region of the sky known as the Great Winter Hexagon is a heavenly sacred geometry made up of stars that guide the way and expand the heart. This celestial shape lies over the Milky Way like a lens that leads to a place of Holy Communion. The Lakota Indians and other Plains Indians call this hexagon the Sacred Hoop and consider it to be extremely auspicious when the Moon and planets move through it. The waning Gibbous Moon and the planet Mars are hallowed within the Hoop, the Hexagon. On the night of Monday/Tuesday, October 29/30, Mars is seen below the Moon. The following night of Tuesday/Wednesday, October 30/31, Mars is seen above to the right of the Moon. Note: The Red Planet rises around 10:00pm and is seen high in the west at sunrise. Can you see the Red Planet and two red stars that make up the Red Triad in the Sacred Hoop? Can you locate the three stars that make up the Winter Triangle? Mars

~ Waning Gibbous Moon, Ideally the waning Gibbous Moon brings illumination to the influences of the entire lunar cycle. If not, dis-ease results. The Moon and Mars in the constellation of the Gemini Twins emphasizes the tensions and relationship between the personality and the soul. This uncomfortable and purposeful dance of the dualities eventually leads to cooperation and synthesis. Mars the spiritual warrior is giving humanity plenty of opportunities to interact with opposing forces as its orbital motion brings it closer to Earth. The planet remains located in the constellation Gemini as it reaches opposition and peak brightness December 24. Gemini Keynote Betelgeuse comes to the rescue of those who are spiritually attuned by stimulating the heart center, hence increasing compassion, cooperation and planetary service. What the soul is to the human, Betelgeuse is to our solar system. These aligned celestial bodies affirm that our present world of dualities and evolutionary struggles can offer opportunities, which lead to heartfelt expansions of consciousness. Halloween

~ Last Quarter Moon, The Last Quarter Moon can bring a crisis in consciousness as the Moon squares the Sun. This cycle's experiences have culminated and one must now prepare for rebirth by initiating change. The Last Quarter Moon is exact November 1, Thursday, at 2:18pm PDT; 21:18 UT. October 31-November 1, Wednesday-Thursday, on these two evenings the Quarter Moon leaves the Sacred Hoop and transits the Beehive Cluster, the heart of Cancer (M44) also known as the Manger. The Moon is in exact conjunction with the star cluster at the exact time of its last quarter phase. Cancer urges us to lift ourselves out of the mass instinctual life by developing the intuition. Listen to the inner guiding still small voice and initiate the changes that nourish ones soul and spirit. Be like the scarab rising out of its dung or the lotus rising out of the mud. Emerge from the darkness into the lighted house of the Christ consciousness, the Group Soul (Manger/Beehive). Keynote: Love builds the lighted house wherein Life dwells. Reflections ~ Waning Crescent Moon, The waning Crescent Moon phase brings enlightenment at a deep level, a time of conscious growth, clarification of values and the surrender to a new future. Rebirth can occur and playfulness can come forth.
November 4, Sunday morning the waning crescent Moon slips below Saturn in the belly of Leo the Lion. Venus lies below the Moon at the head of Virgo the Virgin. Saturn rises at 1:15am, the Moon 1:45am and Venus around 3:00am. How can you weave leadership, honesty and integrity into your life? What other soul qualities are wanting to be birthed by you? November 5-6, Monday-Tuesday, Monday morning is most exquisite as a slender Crescent nestles next to (right of) glorious Venus. Begin looking for the heavenly pair around 3:00am. The goddess of love lies just north of Zavijava (Beta Virginis). See the map above and this 11/5 Star Map for orientation. Tuesday morning, a thin Moon passes beneath Venus, which is still very near Beta Virginis, now just northeast of the star. Venus rises around 3:00am, the Moon at 3:45am. What needs to heal so that your radiant light of love can shine in the world? Listen for the still small guiding voice, which unites your spirit and personality. See the Scorpio Night Sky for more about Saturn and Venus.
Reflections ~ Waning Crescent Moon, November 7-8, Wednesday-Thursday, on these two mornings the last vestiges of the waning Moon are glimpsed, first above the pairing of Mercury and Spica and finally below forming an attractive triangle each morning. Venus brilliantly shines above the trio. Mercury rises around 5:00am, the Moon 4:45am and 5:45am. These are brief, low on the horizon, difficult "brightening sky" observations. Binoculars may be needed.
Its a brand new day and a Virgin spiritual birth is being called for by Virgo, the Moon, Mercury and Venus. Rise up like the Sun, a self-consecrated Christed One, radiating Life, Light and Love into the world. See the Scorpio Night Sky for more about Mercury. November 9, Friday, a new lunar cycle begins 3:03pm PST; 23:03 UT. Stay tuned for the next edition of Moon Dances.
