Lighted World Meditation
Equity and equilibrium are qualities brought about through the Light of Libra. We can now achieve further balance towards complete soul infusion through the application of Wisdom ~ knowledge gained through experience and implemented with love. (1) This practice describes the narrow, razor-edged path associated with Libra, between the pairs of opposites.
Libra is the point of balance in the zodiac, the place where neither spirit nor matter dominates. During this unfolding lunar cycle coinciding with the sign of Libra, we may develop the practice of choosing the Way which leads between the two great lines of force, allowing the scales of justice to come into balance.
The new moon inaugurating this lunar cycle is a solar eclipse, and occurs about 16 hours before the autumn equinox, herald of the new fall season and the cardinal sign of Libra. Balance ~ The Libran Way is emphasized. This lunar cycle, beginning with the union of the feminine receptive energy of the Moon and the masculine active energy of the Sun, will bring these dualities into a new balance within our personal lives and on a global level.
This eclipse happens during a rare opposition of Saturn and Neptune. Personally and globally, we are being pushed to integrate Saturn’s practical form nature and its limitations with Neptune’s ideal spiritual nature and its expansiveness. (Note: This opposition of slow-moving planets lasts from a couple of years ago for that long again, and will next occur in approximately 35 years.)
The solar eclipse, with its extreme intimate union of opposites ~ the Moon (female, receptive) and the Sun (male, active) ~ acts as fulcrum balancing another set of opposites, feminine Venus and masculine Mars. All this, while the entire planet endeavors to balance the opposition of Saturn and Neptune.
The new moon solar eclipse takes place on the day of the autumn equinox, when the Sun, heading south, crosses the celestial equator at 0 degrees of the sign of Libra. The Super Galactic Center (SGC), positioned at 1 degree of the sign of Libra, at this moment is in the strongest and most influential relationship, a conjunction, with both the Moon and the Sun, center of our solar system. This alignment allows new awareness from the Super Galaxy to flow into our solar system during this supercharged time. The SGC and our Milky Way’s galactic center (GC) are at right angles to each other, thus closely related to the equinoxes and the solstices, and therefore to the Cardinal Cross.
With this Libra lunar cycle, a potential is being enlivened and a seed of consciousness is forming deep within. We are called now to assist in the Spiritual Hierarchy's task of setting an example for humanity ~ acting "as if" we are members of the Spiritual Kingdom, to which we aspire.
May we take some time to create a sacred space, as all are invited to participate in this global meditation for the month of Libra.

is the light that oscillates until a point of balance is achieved. Guidance in preparing for this meditation We mentally link up with people of goodwill everywhere, as part of the united group channel through which the spiritual forces can become available. Affirming this channel, "We stand poised united as One Soul with our Spiritual Hierarchy." We hold the focus. We now visualize and become the Chalice we have created together, as a grid of light all over the earth that connects the light of every lightworker and each sacred energy vortex. This network serves as a conduit through which the heavenly blessings may flow through every one of us and to the planet Earth. When we have achieved this ...

The Lighted Way The entire zodiac can be approached and understood from the angle of light ~ the inner light, soul light ~ and its unfolding, increasing radiance is the manifestation of our divine nature. (5) Study of the 12 different lights for each of the constellations of the zodiac reveals the symbolic story of the growth of the light body within the Soul of Humanity (the Macrocosm) and within each of us (the Microcosm), and will finally make clear the very purpose of God.
Libra Zodiacal Deity Symbolized by the Balance, Libra represents the full blossoming of material manifestation. This is the sign of balancing the opposites and of equilibrium, through which we learn through crises to find the right alignment. Objectivity and subjectivity are the two scales of the one balance; when we identify with a part, we lose sight of the whole. The effect of this balance is harmony, developing our powers of discrimination, and bringing into equilibrium the two-sided forces of duality.
Balance~The Libran Way On the Cardinal Cross, Libra brings order, rhythm, and eventually equilibrium. Libra governs the Way to the Middle, the middle path. The energy of Libra helps us move from the weighing of opposites, judgment, to the place of understanding, the point of balance. In seeking and finding point of balance, the Divine Life is further revealed and from this place all things can be seen in a new light.
Libra Labor of Hercules The seventh great test of Hercules in Libra, in which Hercules is charged with caputring the Erymanthian Boar, is about learning balance and sound judgment. "We are told that Hercules seizes the hind legs of the boar, and compels the beast to walk down the mountainside on its front legs, and that this spectacle excites the laughter of all who witness it. In this incident we observe the Libran's ability to find unusual solutions, and to perceive the value of the incongruous." (6)
Principle of Freedom The Principle of Freedom and the Principle of Liberation are related to Libra, for we are told, "the secret of liberation lies in the balancing of the forces and the equilibrising of the pairs of opposites." (7) Libra pertains to freedom: freedom from the personality, freedom from blindness, or freedom from all the seven planes of our planetary existence ~ the planes which are sometimes referred to as the arenas of human and superhuman evolution.
Libra Night Sky The New Moon is supercharged and its heavenly position is quite an “impressive” balancing act that has the infinite unknown beckoning us beyond our mortal limits! Venus and Mars are in a unique opposition, while being embraced by the Sun in the Virgin’s Holy Grail; a conception seems to be taking place!

What is the appropriate way to join in this meditation ... you may wish to participate in group formation on the physical plane as well as on the inner planes. Whether or not you choose to be "alone" on the physical plane, know you are uniting with many others who also are attuning to the energies available at this Global Festival, and that this group focus creates a powerful channel for the meditation to be potent and effective.
If you are unable to meditate at the exact time of the full moon, choose a time within 12 hours before or after to be part of this group meditation.
Prior to your meditation take the needed time to create a sacred space and spiritually align your energies.
We Recognize, the Full Moon Festivals Culminate over a Five-Day Period ...
Our meditation focus beginning at the new moon leads into the two "days of preparation" immediately preceding the full moon. These are to be dedicated to spiritual reflection and detachment from everyday concerns, as each prepares to become a vessel for the energies of light and love they will receive and channel. At this time we hold the attitude of dedication and service, and seek to assume that attitude of receptivity to that which our soul will impart which will make us of spiritual use.
The day of the full moon itself is the "day of safeguarding," one of inner peace and silence during which we attempt to contact and consciously hold the energies for the rest of humanity. We will not formulate for ourselves what will happen, nor will we look for results or tangible effects. While one may not observe the exact moment when the moon is full, it's important to find some quiet time to reflect alone or use this opportunity to meditate with others of like mind and focus.
The two succeeding days are called the "days of distribution." We now turn the attention outwards, away from ourselves, and our efforts are to pass on the spiritual energies that have been contacted. We assist these spiritual energies, transformed into goodwill, in flowing to where there is greatest need.

I was in Lake Tahoe with my family on vacation for the full moon in Libra. I just slipped out on the deck for a brief meditation. The moon was bright and silvery as it danced high amongst the trees. Once I was centered, I opened to the energy.The impression came quickly and it surprised me a bit. This is what I heard and saw, "the energy from on high must be brought down fully into the physical plane and manifested. Connect with Spirit, operate from the plane of Soul. See, know, and find the course of wise action that will bring about the greater good for all. Change will occur, healings and miracles will result from this effort. As we look outward across our home, the earth, we must bring balance to all that is before us. We must seek and then know what required of us. This is our work, this is our service. We are the Human Family!" Several days later I was speaking with a friend about what I had experienced. She too, in meditation during the full moon, had sensed a similar vision, of Humanity's need to bring the energy fully down into the form. She even got a meditation: where we would bring the Soul light down and into each chakra. As the energy center filled she would say Namaste to each chakra. Then she envisioned bringing this Holy light down and in to the earth as a gift or blessing. She saw the great Global Grid growing to include the trees, the plant kingdom and the animal kingdom as well. She saw healings and miracles occurring. A second friend called the next night and I began to share the vision with her. She too felt the energy. She spoke of bringing Spirit fully into matter. She too saw the great Global Grid alive with spiritual force and that we are stepping it down, bringing it here. She too saw an enlivening of the physical plane where there is work to be done. She saw us bringing the energy down and into the earth. She then revealed a most beautiful vision she saw us 're-anointing' the earth. After all the discussion about energy, miracles, healings and a wise course of action that requires us to be aware of working here and now on earth, making a difference. My heart filled with joy at the announcement at that this year's Nobel Peace Prize would go to Muhammad Yunus, Bangladesh's 'Banker to the poor'. This little quiet little man with a fine mind and a huge heart saw a great need in his poor country, where poverty begat poverty, famines killed thousands on a regular basis. He left the world of teaching economics. with a vision to lift people out of the vicious cycle of poverty. He created a system called "micocredit". It allows poor people, who cannot hope to qualify for a loan to borrow as little as $20 without collateral. Over 92 million people, most of them women, around the globe have taken out small loans and worked their way out of poverty. Bangladesh one of the world's poorest countries suffered a devastating drought and famine, over one million people died. You might remember George Harrison in response created the 'Concert for Bangladesh' the first global musical event to raise funds. Muhammad Yunus was trying to help starving villagers when he met a 21 year old woman named Sufia, who was burdened by a tiny but crushing debt. Begum, who had to borrow money to buy the bamboo to make stools she sold for a living received .25 cents per day form money lenders after giving them the stools she was left with .02 cents per day to live on. Muhammad was in touch with the great need around and had a vision to help break the grinding cycle of debt and poverty. He loaned $27.00 to Bugum and more than 40 of her neighbors in the village of Joba. He allowed them to pay him back over the course of the coming year as their business grew and the work started to produce a profit. He tried to persuade a local banker to loan more money to the villagers But the banker r refused insisting that they did not qualify for credit. So Yunus started his own bank to help the poorest of the poor lift themselves up. Thirty years later Yunus' Grameen Bank has more that 6 million borrowers. The bank has 2226 branches and provides services to 71,371 villages across Bangladesh. The bank has given out $5.7 billion in loans and has a repayment rate of more that 98%. This is the message, we can make a difference, we can change the world. So that every one of us, every single individual on earth has both the potential and the right to lead a decent life, to have their basic needs met - food, shelter, clothing and health. Imagine the Human Family with out poverty, and free of the worry, pain and humility it brings. Imagine those vital human hearts and minds freed to love and work for even greater good. - Ted J.
